Lovely picture, reminds you of how dramatic it must have been back in the 70s

Went to check on my Abarth prior to 'lockdown' - hadn't started or moved it for ~ 6 months so was anticipating a possible flat or weak battery ...

- needn't have worried as it started fairly easily ... 8)

Anyone in the market for a Ferrari 'Speciale' ?

It's not intended to be a 'replica' (but people will obviously make comparisons) - it was conceived as a racing special based on a shortened 400i chassis & 365 GT4 running gear.

Now fitted with a 600bhp 575 Maranello engine - & it's road registered (2 SXY) ...

:) It has a number of 'unique' features! Unfortunately someone stole the sills......should be fun once Terry has found something to weld to.... And when we've fitted the high front springs and new wishbone bushes.... Exeter Trial entered... No porsche tax here, wishbone bushes £0.59p each, whole rear brake kit, £45...I almost like it!

Should be great fun - love the sills!

I get my Dot5 brake fluid from an MG part supplier as it is the cheapest for sale anywhere - has been for years. They are called MGB Hive, and the service is great, so recommend you give them a go when you need something

Let us know how you get on - assume you have a couple of months to prepare given all motorsport licences cancelled for lockdown...

I've welded 2 MGB's and the full sill kit is quite a chunk of stuff to get into place, good to do though, needs a lot of 'make good' steel.

MG parts etc are really good value and always have been, hence the marque's attraction for many esp if you are a DIY enthusiast.
Love 'em, esp the GT I had prior to the 911.

That MG will be terrific fun as a prod trials car, only done one event,( in a Honda Civic), hard going and very challenging.

Great value for money motorsport, as is Auto solo, Autotesting, and less so, sporting car trials.
