At a casual glance this looks like a gentle drive out in the countryside - it's actually Ottorino Volonterio driving a Maserati 250F in the 1956 German Grand Prix at Nurburgring ...

Only found out today that Laurie Bird, who played 'the girl' in Two Lane Blacktop, was Art Garfunkel's girlfriend. Sadly she committed suicide after they had a heated argument, aged 25, having turned her back on acting and becoming a successful photographer. Every day's a school day.
