That’s just reminded me....
Given the famed Lotus acronym relating to reliability, I once visited Hethel as my dad was given a tour of Colin Chapman’s boat building project. The Marauder. Other than aeroplanes (I understand CC also fancied himself a plane builder too) can you imagine an unreliable 45 ft motor yacht?
Dad didn’t pull any triggers there and stuck to sail

Broads One Designs known as BODs or Brown boats (originally all wood and varnished) now built in grp. We own no 72 and will be racing in a fleet of 13 from Sunday for Oulton Week.
They are the only boats designed to race on the Broads and the sea. Fantastic sea boats if a little wet. Best to sit at the back and let the crew take the waves.

What the actual f***? Do you know Kevin Bacon?
There’s 85 or so of these things on the planet. And two of us on here own one, in our case number 1. We sail at Wroxham though I grew up sailing at Oulton.
Enjoy Oulton Week.

They look fab. One day, I'll find a way to get back into sailing!

Graham
You’re welcome to come for a sail with me when times revert to normal.
It would be great to see no 1 back at Oulton. We’ll have the latest boat no 88 joining us this week. Will be a great few day’s sailing in spite of the unusual circumstances.
Best regards
