Pretty weak results at Historics auction yesterday.
This one failed to sell...wasnt it advertised on here? Looks pretty good to me.

Yeah, replica doesn't do it justice
Length of the crank case! I love that they thought 12s not enough, let's add another 4 cylinders...

Fabulous fabrication on those manifolds!
Will have taken ages to do that.

Looks like another set of auction results that proves the market for average and poor classics is very weak. The good stuff is still going well, but if your Elan Sprint doesn’t have a rear body flange lip or your SWB 911 has too many inches in its WB then you need to be prepared to sell it cheap.

Or simply wait?
It will all come back from this slump, buy cheap now, pause, sell to a profit soonish.

The market has spoken!
It said if you want top dollar for your jalopy, let KS nestle his heinie in the hot seat and rag it down the quarter mile. Frog Guts (nothing to do with Kronenbourg; mechanicals from Boss Frog, Tim Goodrich’ previous Meyers Manx gasser) was one of the few that made low estimate at $42,500, $47,600 with buyer’s premium
Altitude sickness stateside? The ex-Chuck Stoddard ’74 RS was supposedly ‘selling today’ at $1.75m, now listed POR - presumably this was Jacko bidding. 9114609106 sold for $1.375m at Amelia Island in 2017. The hippy crack of Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act may be wearing off
Having said that, the Otis Chandler Lightweight 9113601406 made a solid $1.7m, $1.875m

Sorry if this has been posted before but there's something compelling about this little feller to me:

My spider senses are saying the backstory would need fleshing out a bit more.
If it’s had some recent recommissioning why not have the conviction to put it through a MOT before sale ?
The mileage doesn’t quite add up either.

Being sold by a guy I know - he's having to sell several classics as he has to clear his premises, hence the lack of MOT etc. Just needs them gone rather than spend time carrying out any work ahead of a sale.
