Bumper caps were the classic line parts, from Type 911 I think. Same stuff you get anywhere.
Would not recommend. Crap fitment.
I’ve I hadn’t utterly run out of money I’d have bought the Porsche bits, but I’ve no idea if they were better.

No doubt we will be on that road in Tango 914 during Three Castles Trial next week, Lake Vyrnwy hotel is a lunch stop..................

Spent the day spanner checking the 911 for Le Mans and doing some tool packing. It even got a proper wash!
Noted it’s first two stone chips after about 800 miles of shakedown. Looking forward to gaining a few more

That glowing light on the dash doesn’t seem to going away, so after a new voltage regulator, more earth leads than you can shake a stick at its time to swap out the alternator.
I forgot what a horrible job this is… luckily it’s only about 1000deg in the sun today

You have my total sympathy!
Pig of a job, nothing comes out cleanly, a fight all the way out and back in.
It was a bitch on my 3.2 engine so in all the years?
No Progress!
-1000 deg C tomorrow.
