Appearances can be deceptive - the saloon is surprisingly aerodynamic - a drag coefficient of 0.34 was pretty good for a production car in 1963 ...

I managed to find a very rare photo buried in the Alfa archives of Giuseppe Scarnati’s early work on what would become the TZ1.
It was shortly after this effort the design was commissioned out to Zagato......

Sorry Andy but I’ve just been trawling those Alfa archives again and managed to find a picture of the actual wind tunnel control panel from the Giulia Super test.
The gauge showing drag coefficient, centre top, is clearly giving a reading of +200.....
