not a Ghia James - it's a '63 Karmann-built coupe - assuming you were referring to Neil's post from the 356 Registry ...

Centre-seat driving position, gear lever between the legs. No brakes (just a hand-operated brake on the back wheels, which is typical of some of these old VW race cars - you get used to it). An odd car with history but nobody can ever recall seeing it run back in the 1970s. Kept appearing at shows in the 90s and then came to the UK as part of the Russell Ritchie collection. I'm the only person to have driven the car in over 40 years... Oh, and yes, the butterfly steering wheel had been refitted 90 degrees off!

That’s got some beans Keith! Not sure I would easily adapt to the gearstick between the legs or the brake on a stick very easily….but that steering wheel position would trouble me even more!
