I’ve been putting it off for many years but the time has finally come to take it back to a shell properly and not do half a job. Not just yet though as it still needs to take me to Classic Le Mans!
I went all the way back again to when you started this thread, did the rear torsion tube repairs, had some fun in it, then decided to fix a wheel bearing, and declared two years and wallet swallow was about to start.
It has been summed up before, but what a brilliant thread of 911 ownership over 18+ years, and how far the car has come in your ownership - brilliant thread and workmanship by all involved and thanks for sharing everything with all of us - a real credit to you!

It’s a glorious car Gary. Amazing the amount of work you’ve put into it and the level of build/finish quality.

Very much the same
Steering is a bit different, probably a combination of the lower efforts from the larger wheel and the ball jointed Turbo tie rods.
Engine and box feel the same, clutch and shift are slick, still drives like a pig for a few miles in the morning then sings happily to the red line.
Very few squeaks and rattles which is reassuring, and the new clock vent is great!
Once I get the carpet in and the rest of the trim it will feel a bit more finished as seeing shiny sound deadening when you are driving isn’t ideal!

Just been for a drive to see a friend and then to get my carpets from the trimmer, first time I’ve really wound it up.

I’ve changed nothing, but maybe the memories had just faded a bit, as it’s just spine tingling.

Looks like EVOstick of old, proppa stuff, second only to painting a car in cellulose.
