Geometry and ‘MOT’ time.
I’ve backed the MOT off from being official as the washer pump is not picking up fluid despite running so it would fail and I ran out of time to fix it as I only tried it last night!
Still going through all the other motions as a basic safety check and second opinion and check I’ve not missed anything obvious.
Good to get the brakes on the rollers to check for balance etc.

Drives lovely now
‘Failed’ on:
Washer fluid
LH handbrake ineffective
‘Advisory’
Slight play LHF wheel bearing
I’ll take that

If you can Gary, what did they do on the geo set up please?
Maybe way off, but I had a washer supply issue a very very long time ago and it was a non working NR valve by the jets themselves.
Anyway, all's good! Once fixed will you get an MoT on the car? I've read the French are picky about these things.
Le Mans calling, I'm envious!!

They levelled the front off as it was just slightly out, I’d already set the 1 deg rake and it’s still the same.
Final settings are as below. The back end put up a real fight, so we prioritised toe over camber as trying to get both wasn’t happening!
I’ve got two new tyres on the back as they were marginal, need to get the fronts swapped as well but I couldn’t get them in the car!

Thanks for those details, very interesting.
I had a real fight with toe and camber on the rears hence going round and round to get them right.
My car still has a bit of a dead steering feel which I think is the caster, and have been thinking of a specialist visit to have them go through the car, hence my interest!

For the first time in ages it felt like time to get the proper camera out. Intercepted my son on his way back from the gym and found a lane with the very last of the light.
Got a few more I'll upload once I've decided I like them enough!

That photo really does make you, appreciate how far you’ve come and how different the car looks from when you started

Absolutely. Ultimately it’s what it’s all about, he hadn’t started to learn to drive when I first took the car apart, now he owns an S2000 and an MX5!
