BTW in Ireland in the mid 70's it was popluar to have a couple of Cibies on the back "as reverse lights" to dazzle following cars .

Mmmm, so if the Portugese one is the "bomba verde", does that make Paul's car the "Turkish Delight"?

In the early seventies there was a Paul Verhoeven movie which was the first kind of mainstream erotic movie that was to be found in family cinemas in your parish/village. Consequently the movie became a bit of a cult classic.

The title in Holland was "Turks Fruit", which translates as "Turkish fruit" or "Turkish delight". The internet movie database indicated that the VHS title for the UK was "wild intent".

Whatever the title, it becomes clear that Paul's "Turkish Delight" is sex on wheels.

Pretty impressive project for beating a midlife crisis methinks.

Let’s talk glazing....

I’m going for a mix of polycarbonate and glass windows.
The front screen obviously is glass and so too is the rear.
The door windows (hand wound) will be glass but the rear quarters and the front quarter lights are in the acrylic Lexan.
The rear quarters have louvers and drip trays. They’ll be in the standard type anodised frames.

The front quarter lights have 'bubble vents'.
These can be rotated for ventilation.
The 'bubbles' are set a little higher than the original racers to help aid use of the mirrors (i.e. positioned above the sight line).

are these electric or manual operatered bubbles
