The plan is to get the two sides of the car into primer this week and into the booth for some colour.

In the meantime......

A few parts I've been collecting in prep for the refit.

Polished window frames and door caps - fitted with perspex front quarter with bubble vent

'Balsa' 917 style gearknob which has now arrived

A pair of Talbot Berlin mirrors although I will only be using 1 for the drivers side.

Shouldn't this be moved to 'Restoration Threads'?

Looking great Thomas…can't wait to see the finished article. 8)

Thanks Darren,

It was planned as a slight refresh but seems to have grown into something a bit more now

Half the fun for me is refreshing it every couple of years.

The good thing has been giving it a good going over and realising its still a very solid car.

Looking forward to starting to put it all together over the next few weeks

What colour's that Thomas?

Let me rephrase that before the "sticker's not straight" comedians chip in with "red" - what shade of red is that Thomas? Looks cool

It's red Mark

Actually its the same red as used on my bonnet stripes which was mixed to match the red vinyl side scripts I'd made up a couple of years ago!

Which reminds me, I need to order another pair and a deck lid script as they've all been taken off

Well my material for the seat inserts has just turned up from the States

Very pleased with the quality and colour. Just what I was after.

I did however somewhat over order!

3 yards - and given how wide the roll is I'll be able to have some scatter cushions and curtains made I think!

Not cushions... trousers, waist coat and a flat cap, surely!

Colour matched houndstooth is the way to go - nice choice.
