- no, it's not a photoshop creation but the original Citroen 'Centipede' created by Michelin (powered by 2 x Chevrolet V8 engines) to test new designs of truck tyre.

Wow.

Why didn’t they just use a truck ImageImage

Apparently they were concerned about the damage a high speed blow-out might do so they designed/built the 'Centipede' test vehicle.

Michelin owned Citroen at that time so they raided the parts bins.

As mentioned earlier, the vehicle was powered by 2 x 5.7 litre Chevrolet V8 engines - one to drive the rear 6 wheels & the other to drive a centrally-mounted truck wheel/tyre.

I thought this was a clever picture - 'Eau Rouge' showing the gradient:

Great looking cars and feel similar in size as a 911 on the road.
I made a quick tentative price enquiry on this car late last year. The quoted price was 25 % lower than expected.

To me the Fulvia Coupe is perfect, the Zagato never really hit the mark. I will buy another one day ! Has to be UK RHD to get the raised lamps, a 1.3 would be just fine :) .

I agree with the first part Tim - I much prefer the Coupe too.

I'll probably opt for an S1 this time though ...
