Not sure how I got on to Citroens this evening but a small glass of white and I've decided a DS is the way to go. Such a beautiful car... no doubt beset by all manner of expensive to rectify problems, probably slow and better appreciated from the outside but nonetheless a truly epic mode of transport.
Charles D G was a fan, an attempt on his life saw his DS tyres machine gunned from under him but owing to the clever suspension his driver saved the day. Citroen subsequently offered this Presidential but De Gaul wasn't keen.
Who can blame him, you wouldn't want to be seen dead in a car like that.
Non.

But the unadorned original... who wouldn't enjoy a car like this ?

Fabulous cars - go ahead & get one - I don't think you'd regret it.
Citroen have made many great (often seen as 'quirky') cars over the years ...

That's the French for you. One bag is ample.

Best part on that is the Cibie biodes...!

I loved my G-wagon, 3 litre petrol .... Just don't get a non turbo diesel auto lwb as they are the slowest car I've ever driven ... Acceleration is non existent to the point I thought it was dangerous

from memory 88bhp trying to drag along a tank
Just realised, that blue one is a 300gd

... Good luck with that

Ref Citroen,
There was a good SOS program on bringing one back to life (and also a Wheeler Dealer) well worth watching.
Nothing there too bad though both avoided rust issues.
However the end result was reported as simply superb and it came over on the TV that way too.
Personally, a great car to have, a real 'chill-out' experience for all inside.
Certainly one on my short list if the 911 went.

James, i knew you were a G boy.

The plan was to put in a 300 TD engine which would pull it up to 140 BHP.
Common sense has prevailed on this one though. It has to much rust for the price asked. More rusty than an old 911.

Yep. If you're going to nick 4 tyre valve caps - make sure you can out run an angry Intergrale.

When a bodywork mounting fails, allowing the body to contact a rear tyre at 450mph... Driver all OK.

Will an M606 fit from the W124 E300TD? (think thats the right engine code)
Legendary tunability and huge torque available from that engine..
