Some pictures sent over today, sill spot welded into place. The other pictures show the front cut away, exposing some lovely orange dust, solid underneath just discoloured. The front had suffered a bit of a hit so I have a full new section which included the most of the lower side sections which had been previously repaired. The intention is to clean up the sump once the body is complete and get all of this back to factory clean. Not sure if anyone has seen the process of ice blasting but I would love to have the whole bottom of the car done and then protected again. I have seen the results on a forum friends 993RS, eat your dinner of it clean.

Sent these off to be polished last week, I know it's not how they are supposed to be but I like them. Door striker latch and the closing limiters, caps for the pull handle as well.

Some pictures of the Alfa, the main improvement has been strengthening of the front support for the anti roll bar. One section of this had been repaired previously but the other side was suffering, the whole section has been cut out and new box section inserted in its place, much stronger and now perfectly in line (the old section was twisted). Front now straight and new nose presented ready to be welded, gearbox collected and ready.

GTA style vents cut and additional holes blanked off.





Some minor clean up required.

i'm never 100% sure on which is which (junior/2000/gtv/etc) but there's been a guy buzzing around leicester for the last 3 or 4 weeks in one - its red with gold wheels, and looks superb! so tiny on the road, even next to my car which is hardly large in itself. i kind of grew up around these cars (alfa's and lancia's) because of my grandfather, so really great to see them out and about and being used as intended! looking forward to more pictures

A bit of a milestone has been reached with my car, all metal work now complete on the car. New front end was the last piece in the jigsaw.

It will be going into primer next week.

Thanks Guys, getting quite excited to see it into paint as well. The metal is so smooth it seems a shame to cover it up. I am considering new front seats, something that offers a bit more protection and stability than the std seats that come in the car. These have no headrests or side supports. There are a few classic seats on offer from GSM but unsure not being able to try them out.

Does anyone have a particular favorite or are they able to make a recommendation?

Hope no one minds lots of pictures. These came through last night, car has now been acid etched (bare metal primer), then given an epoxy primer. The next stage will be the car flattened with block sanding and then checked for flaws before going into paint.

Lovely cars Maxige . Can you post some more pictures of your Alfa, it looks stunning.

Car now into final coat of primer, first coat has been sanded down by hand. Painful looking working away with blocks and small bits of sanding mesh. They are now moving onto the inside.

Thanks!! It's a full Alfaholics build, full aluminum body, 75 2.0TS Big valve engine, 45mm Webers etc etc

Great to drive with 215hp and with a weight of just 835kg

Thankfully it's a completely different driving experience vs the 911
