Replacement wiring loom ? Where to buy? Thoughts? Thinking I'd rather not take a chance on an electrical fire, having taken three years so far....

I've just had a quote from Gerard at Kroon in Holland for a lhd 68s loom.
If you send him an email he'll send you a quote. Make you state RHD
His email is
info@kroonwireharnesses.com
Seems pretty comprehensive.

Interested to know what others have done to replace their brake back plates / dust shields on swb? Mine are too corroded to reuse, but can't see anyone one that sells replacements... Is this a case of waiting for evil bay?

Won't go far wrong with Kroon harness the quality is very good and the intructions are spot on

As for the back plates you could try the usual suspects Max@ Revival, Alan@Cranfords etc or Pelican forum is quite good

Still need to source dust covers for brakes, suggestions? Can later plates be modified? Does anyone have any pictures for swb cars? Thanks Rich

So have been learning about dust shields, and SWB examples are pretty hard to source. I understand that 67's' and 68's' dust shield looked like this

And were different to stock shields which had a rectangular internal shape and a four bolt holes as below:

Would be grateful for any guidance on which are correct, thanks

Hi Rich, I have a pair of the lower picture type if they help. Surface rust but solid. I have the brackets too but maybe these are still on your struts.

Hi Ian, thanks for the offer (s) from the info I have it sounds like the lower dust shields won't fit the wider vented disks. I still need to check the condition of the brackets on the struts. There are a couple of guys in the US who think they have covers so hopefully should be able move forward :)

Spent the day sorting through boxes reboxing cleaning and moving. Dropped suspension parts to workshop and brought the interior home.

Interior is red elephant hide, black top trims, black elephant hide dash, plan is to clean everything up, and replace non hide with colour matched vinyl.

Door cards condition is average, but can be restored, material is OK other than speaker holes, but actual card needs replacing, they were damaged when removed. Has anyone replaced the cards in their door panels before?

With go for new carpets...
