Don't kill the arches
I would say go for Fuchs all around. Not ground breaking but filled out narrow arches look great!
The force is strong in this one ......

Thanks Bruce, hadn't seen those as an option - the offset seems possible and the stud pattern is available on a number of their other wheels so worth a look!Bruce M wrote:Compomotive do a similar wheel with more offset but naturally you lose the dish effect. ML1571 is the model. Not sure if they can handle the 5x130 pdc.
I totally agree, flares aren't an option on this one……..for now!yoda wrote:Don't kill the archesI would say go for Fuchs all around. Not ground breaking but filled out narrow arches look great!

Unfortunately Compomotive came back to me and a 5x130 PSD isn't available, however.....we've exchanged a few interesting emails and they seem genuinely interested in looking at the possibility of producing a deep 7 in their ML line, apparently they'd only need to sell 60 pieces to justify the tooling costs....any dealers out there willing to hold their hand up for a few sets to nudge them along?
I think us narrow bodied guys would snap them up!
Saying that, those wheels do look delicious Andy - I don't think I could chop up my date matched 6's although might buy a couple of Fuch and have a set of deep 7's made? Would be interested to know if anyone has seen the Group4 wheels?
A set of Fuch 6's and 7's plus another set with Deep 7 Comp rears...road and track....now there's a thought!

Re: Mongrel Street Racer
I haven't seen the Group 4 "7R"s but I have yet to come across a cast rim that comes anywhere near the weight of original forged Fuchs. Getting deep sixes widened to 7Rs is not as easy as it used to be. I had a pair done ine Germany some years ago and they ended up costing as much as a genuine set of 7Rs at that time. I have a pair of real ones, freshly refurbished if you want them.

Darren, you may have already seen this '68 T "Jezebel"..... on 6 & 7 Minilites.
Canepa site won't allow links to pics so..... http://www.canepacollection.com/detail- ... 70300.html
Have you excluded Torq Thrust from the list of possibles?

Re: Mongrel Street Racer
No they're not (are they custom flares?), although a fabulous looking car and soooo tempting to go wider at the back!
That said, I've made a decision and plans have been put in place..…….I'm going with Harvey!
