Looks american or eastern european to me - they have a habit of doing a great job building BMW's at the moment, but ruining them with huge wheels, dodgy body-kits, and over the top engines.. I assume that's a screamer pipe behind the front wheel? Which means its probably an M50, S50, S52 or S54 with a massive turbo and shed loads of power and torque.
The little '02's can be so nice to drive with a revvy, lightweight 4 pot up front, but obviously doesn't win you many measuring contests in the pub!
