Well, I'm here and there are some truly new and amazing cars on display.

As usual there is chaos here so I am going to head back to the hotel tonight and get here bright and early to stake our position.

As you can see we have some spaces so if you're coming in a Porsche and can get here for 8.30am you'll be most welcome.

I'll post a post a few preview pics later.

I'm just confirming after a long DDK absence that we'll be up on both the Ghia & S tomorrow.
We're meeting Steve Wright on the A24. See you there.

I thought I could fill a place on Sat. in addition to Sunday, said I would be up tomorrow to Bootsy, then remembered why I hadn't booked originally, so phoned again to confess my muppetry  .

Therefore I can't cover tomorrow, but remain fine for Sunday 8) .

Was woken up half an hour ago by v. heavy rain  . Hope it doesn't carry on like this ....

Anyway, once I remember how to get there, we'll see how the 914 does: it was running a bit poorly coming back from the MoT, and for one reason or another, I was out on the drive at 11.00 last night putting the carbs/manifolds back on after finding that the engine tinware was fouling the inlet manifolds, leading to airleaks  .

Feel ever so slightly stupid as I had refitted them like that ( ). In my defense (your Honour) they had been like that since I have had the car, and it was tricky to see the problem. Still, must do better: 1/10. See you up there :) .

P.S. I think the rain is easing off .....

The rest of the morning is forecast to be ok now that the band of rain has passed :P

Showers this afternoon though :|

Wish my speedster were more waterproof :(

Looking forward to the 45 mile drive as the car had been banished to the garage for the winter 8)

what a show - great to see everyone & a host of new cars. there is some serious money being spent on the humble VW now... especially if it's a 23 window RHD Samba....

bought the Westie - so will now be doing some of the shows complete with family and BBQ, which should also save my hearing... after the round trip of 200 miles I was completely deaf, and that was with earplugs
