You're over-thinking it Paul. The seats (Your seats - you know, the ones you bought for money) will look awesome matching the exterior.

Or don't. And don't drive it either. Preserve it for the next generation to keep in cotton wool. Except you're already ruining it by deleting the headlamp washers (you've picked up on my sarcasm I hope - I couldn't find the sarky old git emoji)

Your car (or maybe Lynn's!) , your seats, your time, your money, your enjoyment. Do it how you want it, the rest of us can love it or hate it everyone has an opinion.

I for one love what you are doing but then I like a bit of custom work, they made thousands of these things from the factory all the same, so a few modified ones out there won't hurt...

It's hard to believe how you all took a simple observation to the limit.........
Criticism, not from me, I am cool with all your threads Paul. In fact, if anything, I am disappointed you don't post more. Everyone has an opinion and DDK's the better for it. You 'horse on' with your resto and build the car you want. We all have our 'dream' builds and I applaud you for yours (past and present). You have a passion for detail like the rest of us and it shines through.
I was just trying to offer an alternative (not possible as you pointed out).

When all is done it's only some mild modifying, a few signature touches. The car is going to look great. And you'll all say, is that it? It's practically stock.

So, to accompany the ruined seats I would need a complete black interior.
I'll tell the story of how I acquired it but here's a teaser to evidence my success:

This will be a nice car when done, painted this or that, it will be great and will stand-out in a warming way rather than brash.

Every time I touch the plastic backed seats of my stock Boxster I think of these flippin' seats!

Paint them. Maybe add some louvres too #suburbanoutlaw

And that's the great thing about this place. What I think really doesn't matter, it's totally your car and it's your hot rod. What I like about this is that you're pushing us to think about stuff. And that is healthy. Just because I wouldn't doesn't in any way mean that I don't like what you're doing.

If we stop pushing, we'll be stuck in aspic and that's really dull. And anyway, you didn't like my under-bonnet paint treatment but I think you liked the overall end result and even if you didn't like that bit of the paint, you respected the choice.

Paul, this is going to be right up my street I wouldn't hesitate to paint the seats etc etc .

I'd love to do something similar with a 964 . One of my favourite cars is boydy's 964 speedster that's had similar treatment
