We performed another swift twisty climb, to the last hilltop town before the plains:
And parked up in the town square for lemonade, parked amongst the local car club's members:

It's was downhill to the next major checkpoint, and we caught the E up just as we came into town.

We had started the day with them, and in finishing with them for this the lunch stop, we somehow did OK on penalties:

It was another gravy train stop in a classical location.
This place had a broad 1/2 mile long straight for a high street. Some people couldn't resist but make a spectacle:

I can't really make out the first car (too far away) - is it a Maserati Biturbo ?
- then a couple of TR's -a TR3 (black) & a TR2 (red), a late ('63 ?) Giulietta Ti & a Renault 4CV (750)

Yes, I think Andy is right again: a modded 1750.
In terms of whether it is like-able, I guess it's all about what you do and don't know.
Johnny is an Alfa expert, and shared Andy's feelings. He muttered lots of stuff like "Dog's dinner" , "Wrong this", "Wrong that".
I don't know much about Alfas, and in the bliss of ignorance was able to enjoy it at face value, still think it looks cool.
A non standard boy racer jobbie from the 70s, clearly adored by it's owner, and still used in light competition.
Plus it has a Burzel... what's not to like about that!?

How about the dark red one, behind the Giulietta TI?
