The engine was a gamble, it had come from a camper that had never run right, a fuelling issue I was told. When I came to check the cam timing it was out!! Now sorted, and with the Megasquirt and distributorless ignition system running the show, it seems the gamble has paid off. Only time will really tell.
I am certainly happy

D'oh ! 1 small snag.... My oil cooler has a leak !!
Anyone got a spare later oil cooler with the later push on type fitting rather than screw fitting ?
Or a good solution to mate a screw fitting cooler with a push fitting tank !!

What size is the thread in the oil cooler and what I/d is the hose? I might have a hose barb fitting that would work so you could use a push-on at both ends..

The threaded union is 30 x 1.5, needs adapting to a ~29mm id push fitting.
A local imp fanatic is seeing what he can machine up to make an adaptor.
Watch this space !!
PITA to drain the oil, and remove the heat exchanger and some tinware, but the oil cooler is now off and the replacement is prep'd and read to fit. Just need to know I can join all the parts together before I re-fit the other cooler.
Oh well ! It can't all go my way, or at least not on what I'm spending anyway !!!

Nut salvaged from an old fitting, machined up two part fitting.

Now all reassembled and another cooler fitted

Now to look at the mapping !

DROVE it out of the garage today to take the picture for PCF parking
I think I need to tweak the ride heights a tad !!

I have improved the seating a touch though
