does anyone know if they have finished their 'period' cafe / garage yet?
Mick only got the planning consent a couple of weeks ago. I am looking forward to seeing the finished project, I think its a great idea.
It costs an awful lot of time and money to properly restore any 911 and as the RHD 2.4S coupe is so rare (I estimate thare are maybe 30 left) and sought after it will continue to be the most sought after and expensive 2.4. The RHD 2.7 RS is almost common. There are usually 2 or 3 for sale at any one time, but I know of only one S for sale right now. I think the 2.4E is the next to become sought after as the S gets out of reach and more difficult to find.

I'm not sure the 2.4s is undervalued today. Historically the best 2.4's have always been about half the price of an equivalent RS and I think this will always be the case despite the very good point made by Nick on it's scarcity. I have owned several cars since the early 80's and back then I turned down a beautiful blood orange 2.4s at £17000 when RS's were changing hands for £35000. Today the same differential applies and despite the number of cars available I don't think there will ever be parity or even close to it. And we all know that there is so little difference between them................except in the mind.

I have I am trying to establish a list of RHD 2.4S cars. So far I have some information on 14 cars but I am sure there are more.
I am trying to obtain the following info:
Model Year
Reg No.
Chassis No
Engine No
Colour
Last Advertised Price
Dealer
Condition: Poor/Original/Restored
Is anyone willing to supply info on the cars they know about to try and put together a more complete list? In return for the information I would be happy to provide a copy of my list to anyone that can provide some useful information.
The price bit is optional and the least important but may be interesting.

but very good RS tourings are getting up to £100K, more for for the exceptional ones
If 2.4S's are half the price then I'm happy
This thread is sounding like a thread from the 'early S' forum
.
The value of these cars is irrelevant if you own them / drive them for the right reasons .... which is what DDK is all about

I went looking for it on the way back from Husborne Crawley . . . drove round Newport Pagnell a couple of times, couldn't see anything so pull into a Shell garage.
Asked the guy at the till and he said that actual garage was it . . . and that the owner had just got planning permission sorted. Absolutely nothing vintage there . . . no way you'd know. . . . absolute fluke I found it.
