Wow this is raising the bar pretty high Clive! Complete with elegant plate shots. Had to check I was still logged in to DDK and not some foodie blog. Hope the blipper works because it doesn’t seem like you’ll be able to jump the barriers. Have a great trip.

Those blippers are THE BEST.
Would never go away to France without ours.
Just approach the barrier slowly or you will not be 'blipped' and you will be very unpopular indeed.
I feel relaxed just following this thread!

So arrived at my hotel for next three days - very utilitarian and FB was the only car there

Unloaded - had a snooze and headed out to pick up some important things- passed some Porsches on the way

And headed off for dinner- huge place on an industrial area- at least 120 covers - maybe more but had been before and knew. that it was really good

Forgot to photograph the oysters but here's the Coichroute de la Mer and Café Gourmand - EUR 37.50 the lot- Excellent bottle of Chablis for EUR 30

Got back to hotel to find car park full including multiple Porsches , Ferrari and Lamborghini- clearly not its usual clientele

That truckers restaurant, Bout du Monde is very enjoyable- we often stop there
