Interesting - wonder if the rest of the citizens here know that
It's Fedex delivery - so a Fedex decision i woukd think.......................

.... it has a high zinc content.
I always thought that that was the big attraction of Valvoline VR1.

That is my understanding too .
Helps to reduce bearing surface wear?

Particularly good for reducing wear between cam lobes and cam followers on older engines.

I’ve used this in my early 911s for many years. Available from the local motor factors in Cork too.

I spoke to James at C&M about giving a short 20 slide PowerPoint presentation, on Which Oil, at the evening meal for the DDK get-together. He said he was really excited and I had the slot directly after Clive's speech!
PS about as welcome as a dinner party i attended 35/40 years ago. After dessert my mate's Mrs got out a flip chart. Then gave us a 45 minute presentation on a pyramid marketing scheme. My mate tried to sink deeper and deeper into his chair!

What’s the thoughts on Shell Helix HX5 15W-40?
I’ve always used it but can’t remember why!

Well most modern synthetics are good for our engines. However, the 20/50 racing oil is superior. A better viscosity index so more stable through the heat range and a better rating A3/B4 v A3/B3. Meaning the racing 20/50 base oil is a better quality before additives are added.
I hope this helps.
