Esso zero ethanol definately seems to maintain the octane level for longer, my car when stored over the winter months always used to struggle to start on E5 come spring time but since using the Esso stuff it starts up no problem even when its been left sitting for a while.

I don't know if you have this option in the UK but I've been able to buy 100 octane low lead ave fuel at my local air field for around $7.40 a gallon. They won't pump it into a car so I bring 5 gallon containers.

Aral does Ultimate 102 in Germany!
Re: Esso Ceasing Ethanol-Free Fuel in Sep-23
All fuels are terribly expensive here in The Netherlands, E5 or better even more so IF available. I believe it's EUR 2,10 for a liter of fuel now (that is EUR 9,5 for a gallon!) is a joke. Therefore, I drive to Germany regularly (40min round trip) to fill fill up the classic with the emptiest tank and take 4 20 liter canisters to have some reserve at home. In Germany they also have ethanol free Aral Ultimate 102, which doesn't degrade, is friendly on fuel hoses and gives a much cleaner burn.
So I use:
911 3.3 turbo and 928 GTS: E5 95 if nothing else is available. Ethanol free Aral Ultimate 102 octane when I have time to drive to Germany
911 RSR replica: Aral Ultimate 102 octane only
Alfa Romeo Giulia Super E5 95 if nothing else is available. Ethanol free Aral Ultimate 102 octane when I have time to drive to Germany
Over winter I use a Liqui Moly fuel stabiliser in cars that hibernate to keep ethanol infected fuel from degrading.
New cars I can't be bothered with so its E10 for TOTMBO's Mercedes and whatever diesel is available at the next opportunity for my Range Rover when the light comes on.
