Thanks for that - out of interest what colour glass should I be ordering if I want it to look like a 73 model - were they doing green tinted windscreens then or would it have been clear?

The early side windows I've bought are green, as are the later ones I'm taking out.

Anyone knows this please let me know - I'd like to have an idea before deciding which colour to go for

You just need to match your other glass. Green was available then but not top-tint

I've got the heated screen now, but the garage want to know how it should be connected up - which circuit (onto the heated rear window one?) any ampage etc?

Nothing at all came with the screen itself.

Anyone any ideas? - Fetuhoe what do you do?

Hi Mark, My heated screen came with a chunky relay. I believe it pulls 15amps when running!

I made a completely separate loom for it straight from the battery(s) with an in line fuseholder, then wired the low current side of the relay to the heated rear window switch. My switch is two stage as you pull it out, so stage one is now front screen, stage two front and rear.

I also spoke to Chris (Fetuhoe) who recommended it in the first place and he said that there are 2 circuits on the screen, and it's important to connect these in series and not in parallel - doing the latter potentially allows you to have only one half of the screen on which could crack it. He recommended a 30 amp fuse and fitting a relay.
