They crossed my mind, but then going by the comments above there appears to be some additional voodoo going on inside them.

Ah yes, missed that bit! Makes me feel a bit better about the whole thing though knowing there is flow restrictor there.

Closing the loop on this one... bullet bitten.

Not the best pictures, but you can see the aperture isn't uniform as with the standard t pieces or elbows.ImageImageImage
