And have replied Ian.
James, did you pay about 15$ each?
The price sets which one you used!
Again, do I REALY need these?

What have you got to loose for the small cost of around £100?

Need to be sure the springs fit as they are not stock, but Ian has away round that frome.

$225 for the set about 11 years ago. Springs bought at the same time from the same supplier to match

Sounds like the aasco set to me James, thank you.
Those can only be used with the springs they sell.
I have an option on the way, but need to measure things carefully first.

Had a good look through the Dempsey book last night, bed-time reading, couldn't sleep after...
He states the risk of valve float is above 8K and some add shims under the stock springs to increase pre load to overcome things.
anyway, feeling a bit easier now, I am getting a set of titanium caps at a good price, new, and if the Kent Cams springs fit, that will close this issue.
It will then be time to move to the next bee-in-my-bonnet. One of many before I'm at the start line in mid April next year.
A good friend called yesterday about JE pistons and problems, but that is another story.

Only just caught this Graham but if you do still need these items I've just received racing springs, seats and retainers from Don at EBS Racing, used them a few times and always a first class service.
Ordered on the 16th Nov, shipped immediately (and before I'd sent payment), arrived today. Brilliant

Thank you Darren, but all sorted now.
Got my heads back today machined for twin plugs, so time to build the heads up with Kent Cams racing springs, re-shimmed seats to suit the 36mm installed height and Fenn Lane sourced titanium top hats.
Still waiting for the cam chains and main bearings which are 'promised' for end of Nov. Hope Des911 can supply.
Fingers crossed for the Carrillo rods and JE pistons for Xmas.
Engine can then be assembled and back in the car by end Jan when the box will be back.
Still getting my head around ignition..but time to sort it. At least Clewitt parts are in stock though expensive of course.
