P.s. I also know of a case that was burning huge amounts of smoke and it was completely fixed by new valve guides.

Wow, that’s really interesting. The engine does look so clean, and clearly some new parts, fingers crossed it something related to sitting not being used. Will run the car a little and see if we can clear it through, but will also sort the gaskets which are clearly not sealing. Will come back with an update.

So…I found an old sale listing for the car with a link to 100 photos, and there is mention of a rebuild, I just need to track the seller down and ask a bit more…

Apparently the rebuild was done about 20 years ago but had very little miles since; Not sure if a top end that old would present any problems?
