I’m doing my window frames as well right now, good to see the mother’s polish! I used Mr Muscle to soften the anodising, as you say it’s hard work just to sand it off.

Its quite nerve-racking but the light flappy wheel removes it in seconds. The flat and polish wet and dry then brings it back. I'd read about My Muscle. My window frames were quite pitted. I quite like the polishing jobs.

When you’ve sanded them down are you planning on getting them re-anodized or going for some other finish (polished, brushed etc) - just wondering how you’re planning to protect the finish

I'm looking into that mate but yes a protective finish will be applied. Probably not re anodised

Half term here in the NE so not much progress. We've been in York for a few days with the kids.

Spent a few hours today stripping the window frame and glass out of the passenger door and also getting the two front seats out. Seats don't look to bad now out. Certainly salvageable with some stitching, elbow grease and dye!

Interesting floor pan ventilation hole under the drivers seat . I knew the car needed new floor pans when I looked at it so no nasty surprises there. I'll have the rest of the interior and headlining out over the weekend. Steady progress

More stripping progress done. Got all of the soundproofing out of the interior now. Wanted to expose the metal so we know exactly what needs to be done when she goes in for welding in the New Year. Also got the headlining out. Both minging jobs. Hence the paper overalls and mask.

Also got the thick of the glue residue and flaking paint off the the roof. Someone had put a vinyl roof on at some point in the cars life! Heathens

Getting there. Slowly but plenty of time. No rush. I'm enjoying the process.
