We pulled the car out in the sun to take in some of the details
Greg hadn’t quite got to finishing stripping the inside, not surprising give how carefully he did it, not a scratch or tool mark to be seen.
A peek around the garage gave an insight into the car’s history, but more on that later
We then spent the day partially reassembling the car and unpacking all the parts from plastic boxes and fitting them into every nook and cranny in and effort to make it into one easily shippable car. We hung the panels, fitted the glass and door frames, put the bumpers on.
We then fitted the engine, gearbox and exhaust.
Before taping everything up and coating it in WD40

Ready for collection and shipping back to Ireland.
Not bad for a days work.
That evening Wendy had arranged a surprise for us, and whilst this digresses from the story it’s relevance will be come apparent later.

interested to follow this. I saw the original advent on Early S but was already well into my 72S project so couldn't contemplate another ...... ie bit skint at the time
