Hmmmm maybe not a lot on the road.

I always used my 964 on road and track and found it made the front a little stiffer with better turn in.

With the state of the roads now (they are horrendous around us) maybe just see how you get on without one first....

I had a strut brace on my car and removed it for half a day at Spa. Was definitely noticeable on track.

Thats a shame - maybe PM blackbetty in the first post and ask if they are being hosted elsewhere or if the site is just down as it had lots of cars for ideas etc....

All that modding stuff for performance and no mention of tyre choice?

Pointless bolting all that jewelry on and keeping the tyres, tyres are your connection to the road and should be on those lists, and there are several to consider.

These are all well-known modifications with many 964 owners utilising various combinations over many 1000's miles.

None of these modifications are aimed at producing big increases in power - more to maximise the capabilities of the 'chassis' & to reduce weight wherever possible (within reason).

Tyre choice is a long way off & will depend on what size of wheel the car is fitted with (eg 17in or 18in) but it will be purely a road car.

Speaking of which, what's the general consensus regarding 17in vs 18in wheels ?

I do like the look of the original 17in Cup 1 wheels - but am also a fan of the Eta Beta Krone/BBS look & think they're only available in 18in diameter ...

I have built a number of 964s in the past and found that fitting
993RS front uprights ( commonly referred to as GT2 uprights) and
steering arms gives a big improvement in steering feel and allows
fitment of any 993 (including turbo) radial mounted calipers. I'm
not 100% they are still available from Porsche though.
Brakes are important though as I think the 964 brakes are not
really up to the job for fast driving.
The above plus, good suspension and loosing weight gives real
benefits.
