So first off, let's get something straight. I didn't leave half the car back in car. I took out both standard and very heavy seats and installed a Cobra Classic RS one. By the way Mike of course turned up in a bog standard 914

Brilliant weekend, my second attendance and I am starting to get the hillclimb thing. Such a shame for Simon in his lovely 356A, it wasnt for running right.

But, priorities: my 2nd run on sunday was 36.33 on the finish line board, don't know why it wasnt printed. On road tyres >ahem<..

Sorry I didnt stay on-site, I'm sure Bonnie had more than enough love to go around.. :drunken:

Anyway some of mine

Hi guys

What can I say, an absolutely fabulous weekend so much so we were sad to go home. I also never got round to taking any pictures, too busy talking :compress: :compress:

Doune maybe a possibility depending on the weather prior to that weekend.

Mike and Brendan are the perfect Moho guests and had Princess Bonnie's approval.

Thanks again to Johnny...he helped to get us out of the mud.

Forget the driving and the banter from Margaret. She was too business to take pictures as she was cooking; 4 steaks, 40+ square sausages, Italian sausage casserole and countless teas and coffees. A true star

Of course there is a dark side to Margaret. I caught her trying to sabotage my car by sticking my bobo up my exhaust  :drunken: :bounce:

A wee vid of the commentator accusing me of using the handbrake on the hairpin..

The DKWs were fascinating cars. I don't know much about them but the black one was 2 stroke and went off the line crackling and smoking like one of Russ's mopeds.

Here's a few of the others:

Image

Loved these lotus 23s. The duck egg blue one went up the bank and closed the track for an hour :(

Image

Ace chocolate n gold 'vette, was getting good times too
Image

Formula 5000 Lola, 5 litre sounded fabulous, went straight into the bales at the hairpin at a hell of a lick. Possibly a bit much for a wee muddy scottish hillclimb..

And finally, after some research, we have identified a car that Mike is safe to drive next year. (Name That Car, Andy..)

A muddy hill climb paddock...sad to see this for such a good looking event, but adds to the challenge. :)

Even better to read people dipping their toes into a weekend of hill climbing, hard to beat combo, bit of cars, bit of serious competition, lots of banter = perfection. :drunken:

Thanks for the report, good to see Wayne's 914 back in use. :alien:

Great report and great cars. Always had a thing for those DKW’s.
