Very nice cars, lthough I prefer the smooth looks of the early cars.

Me too and that’s a lovely colour. Those two extra lights.
Re: Any Citroen DS owners (or former owners) on here ?
Those two extra lights look so much better on a Porsche though

That is a beautiful looking car. Were the Cibie Pallas lights designed for the DS ?
I always think they look a bit Bug Eyed Sprite on a 911.

Andy, please acquire a DS as tout suite as possible and start a thread. I love them and would buy one but would prefer it if you bought one first.
Edit to say, those spots on the DS appear to be a different shape to the Cibie Pallas lights I've seen. More pointy at the back ? Were there different models ?

Yes, there were different versions of the 'auxiliary' lamps fitted over the years - this is the version that was adopted on various early 911's:mycar wrote:

Still only at the 'thinking' stage - which doesn't always translate into an actual buying stage ...mycar wrote:

I've been using the Kings Arms in Roupell St London for over 20 years, and there's always been a DS or three parked up there.
Just checked Google Earth and yep, still there.....

Yes, it's an SM with a BX 1.9 GTi behind - a black one just like the one I had ~ 20 yrs ago ...
There must be a Citroen specialist located nearby - too much of a coincidence otherwise.

Before the Common Market a Citroen Safari was around £4600, which was twice the price of a Range Rover and not a lot less than an Aston Martin. It’s amazing that they sold, but they did.

The guy on Roupell Street also has a BX gti.
He uses the Safari as a decorators van. No joke!

Apparently the girlies love a bloke with an old Citroen DS.
Or maybe it was they love an old bloke with a Citroen DS ?
Whatever ---
