Re: New member Sydney Australia
Steve,
You are thinking like I was a short time ago. I used to use photobucket and it worked till they changed the rules and it seems you haven to pay. These guys on here seem to have no problems at all but like you I was foxed until some help came from Andy on here with some good tips. So......
1). The jpeg photos you have I presume on your documents page all listed down need really to be resized first of all using www.picresize.com.
Open picresize and click browse. Your documents pages will appear. Scroll through those till you find the photo jpeg reference you want to post. Then click the 'open' box. Now click the yellow continue box. Now click the 'resize your picture box to make the photo 75% smaller. Then click the yellow ' I'm done resize my picture ' box. This will show a figure of 816x 612 pixel or 157 kb.
2). Now click save to disc. The download will show complete with the full picture reference number on top R/hand side of screen. Note that number down as you will need it for ' Free image website.
3). Now that he picture is the correct size for the forum open the website www.freeimagehosting.net and click the 'upload another image in red'
Now in the small box ' choose file' click that. Your document pages will open. Move curser to the file reference ( sent from picresize ) and highlight it. And click open. Now click 'upload image' in box.
The image code from this photo will show in red in the box. Left click the number it turns blue Right click the number and click copy.
4). Now the picture is resized and you have the coding to enter in the space on your forum thread.
5). To do this on the forum address bar the [img ] box at the top of the forum bar needs to be used.
6). To enter the image address it can be shortened and with no spaces. So for example in the space you need the picture. It should look like this [img]http://i.imgur.com/t30MPar,jpg[img]
Sorry Steve it looks really complicated but if you follow it this might help you. Always use the preview box to check if the picture comes out okay.
Roy ( I must try all this again myself just to see it works

Re: New member Sydney Australia
Steve,
Just tried my instruction above on the ' DDK post your pictures here ' thread on the 356 section. I posted a pic of my Meissen blue dash board. It worked fine but I forgot one item that was missing on the instruction.
When you have copied the image code in point 3 then when you move to the Forum thread and the position to enter the photo if you click 'paste' the full coding will show. Drop down below this and enter [img]and without spaces https://imgur.com/together with the code number you see and after the jpg ending type in the [img] Then delete the full message youy pasted leaving of course the shortened version.
Try a preview check to see if it works.

Re: New member Sydney Australia
Steve,
On the board index pages scroll down to ' members porsche gallery ' click that and look for the thread which advises '50 years driving my 356.' part one is written and part 2 is photographs of my 356A
That details my time with 356 cars

I’ve used Flickr since 2009 with no problem, but Steve’s image’s aren’t visible here, says they’ve been removed.
