Hey Keith, where's that pic of my rubbish 356? The rough estimate for the work to be finished is 20th September. Not long now, can't wait for it to be back in my garage.

I believe Steve is going to take on the abortion (no thanks to a certain VW/Porsche bodyshop in Ringwood) that was my old car. It will be interesting to see what he finds.

Just going through the same farrago with mine. Parts of the rear were over an inch deep in filler.

Ha Ha, no worries Keith, what do you expect from an old hot rodder. The saying is 'Git er dun' and without anybody to guide me that's what I did. Looks like Steve is going to need a bit of pug on that front end though!

Got up very, very early yesterday and hit the road down to Classic Fabrications to see my 356 which I'm pleased to report is all finished and looking quite the lovely little beast it was pre-crash. They have done a great job and the good news is that the damage was only superficial with nothing nasty in the chassis department. But there is something rather nasty in the gearbox department so as the car is currently stuck in the workshop and as Winter is definitely trying to approach, I thought it best to pull the gearbox out and get it fully sorted. It ain't gonna be cheap I know, so I'll have to do a bit of overtime and save my pennys and hope to have it back in the new year.

I contacted Mike Bainbridge about refreshing my noisy 356 gearbox, but he told me that he doesn't do 356 boxes any more, as he has enough on with 911s. He did however recommend a chap to me who works out of Southport, so I went there with mine. I thought that he was very reasonable, and no issues with mine after about 3k miles. PM me if you would like more info.
