Sold at 44,240. Would that be the price paid or are there 'premiums' to add?

Given the odd figure I imagine that includes premium

Not bad price for a well maintained track slag, but probably about the going rate, there was a 100k miler at 44k last year that was also well maintained but never sold for months and months

I'm thinking of going down the 6GT3 route again as I want to get something that I can use more easily on the road (than my 89 hot rod, if I can bear to sell it). However the challenge of finding a good GT3 that won't be a project/moneypit is a tricky one! When I went round this loop 10 years ago, it took ages to find a good GT3 and now they are all old and knackered!

Some chap called Bert on PH has a thread running on the subject, he's hardly related to me at all

You could say that of any 911 though Graham.

Easy to throw £5-10k into anything now, especially with the cost of some parts.

There's a very nice Cat D, 996 C2 on facebook at the minute. You could probably throw £5-10k at that and make a very very good road/track car and never have to be precious about it....

There is a long thread about the owner and his cars on PHs. Not sure why you think it is a track slag? Car was a daily driver for a chap who worked all over Europe and drove the car everywhere. Very well maintained and never been on track. The guy also sold a 996 GT3.1 he racked up 150k miles in also used as a daily.

Nice car by all accounts and well maintained. Great value at £44k for someone who isn’t worried about the miles.

Ah ok.. looked odd to me as it was less than the auction price so assumed it wasn't being flipped straight away! posted it from my phone so couldn't see the date on the ad or anything, just saw it posted by someone else on fb or similar


I know this is a Porsche forum so I'm probably going to get slammed for even mentioning this, but surely that £45k gt3 must be bottomed out pricewise? so perfect car to drive and enjoy, but would be a bit short-sighted given the way prices have been going (short and long term) to thrape it to death.. A buzzed engine is presumably almost a financial write off? So drive it, enjoy it and probably sell it on for a profit in 10yr.

if you're looking for a "cheap 911" track car then I think you're better off looking for something else and keeping the 911 as a fast road car - boxster? cayman? for not much over 45k you'd prob get an ex carerra cup car or similar from europe - not road legal but would be a hell of a capable track day car

You’re right I’m mixing it up with another car I know same colour mainly used on track. Thought it was this one. My bad.

I agree Jason, great car for the money. And you could use it without worrying about adding miles to it ( - ;
