Blimey, exactly what I was saying yesterday to Richard (Inaglasshouse) yesterday when he was down. I've had one or two close shaves myself. The real worry is if it came down on the crown of the head when the catch is fitted. Could easily be life changing (or ending). Hope your recovery goes (or has gone) well.

Seems it was one of those day for Porsche Club Ireland Members, were they protaginists perhaps? This one blames turning around too fast yesterday during an oil change . As the Sergeant in the Hill Street Blues used say, " be careful out there ! "

The bed is a Celette but the brackets are aftermarket from Anna Thom. I simply couldn't get hold of any Celette brackets.
I've mounted several shells to the brackets to see if they are consistent and they seem to be good, until the real ones come my way they are better than nowt!

Nasty accident there Jon. I sincerely hope that left eye of yours came out undamaged. Looks like it was a close call. Glad you are on the mend.

Thanks Mike, yes all Ok, had a good sized black eye for a week or so but fortunately it didn't touch the eye itself.

Good news. Now you know one of the reasons why we have an overhanging brow and an orbital rim of curved bone. Evolution to the rescue!
