What seats are you going to fit James?

Just had a firkle about behind the seats. Something has been going on there in the past with some holes in the bulkhead. It's just not obvious what.

However, I did find wires going to the seat bases...heated seats?

Let me know when your back pad and seats are available James. Mine is a 1970 so has the fixed passenger seat originally but I'd be interested in your interior bits

Oh and on the subject of seats Graham, I have bucket seats in mine at the moment - I have discovered there a good reason the original seats don't have any sides

The secret might be not to stop too often to get out and back in

That would be best option but when I'm hill climbing I feel like I'm in and out like a fiddlers elbow.

That's how I did mine Graham, just make sure you have decided on your seat final position so you get the angle of the harnesses correct (5 degree or so relative to the seat opening if I remember correctly)

Hi Graham

I just used the standard FIA plates - I think they are 50mm square or so, and about 3mm thick. They have a thread for a standard seat belt, so screwed eyelets into them from inside the car to attach the harness shackles to.

I think the panel is up to it without any more than that, and they never got so much as a comment in c100 scrutineering sessions!

Having said that, my roll cage is a 5 point jobbie, so the whole bulkhead is braced to the cage with an enormous spreader plate only inches from the inner of the two mounts, so adds a lot of strength to the panel overall.

Thanks Wayne, will go for the FIA spec plates then - assuming when I get the seat test fitted it looks like a goer. It won't be scrutineered as it's just going to be road going.
