I would possibly be interested in a pair of lwb front wings - I have a 1969 car - possibily a better discount for more pairs even if its not all the same swb wings.

Like the sound of that

Prong no.1 (OPC Sutton) have told me that the retail is £995+vat each (£1194) and the group buy price would be £890+vat each (£1068) It's a saving but still more than l paid for the car! So we can get a reasonable discount but it's all relative. Hopefully will have an answer from prong 2 tomorrow. Any thoughts? Cheers, Paul.

Brilliant
Would they ship to various locations at that cost ?
My local Newcastle quoted £940+ vat for a pair
Iam curently away with work so not in a position to chase up at my end for another 2 weeks there was a mention above of Porsche Glasgow being good ?
Thanks

Would buying in the states and shipping back with a car in container be an option, seem to be a few people shipping back cars these days - just a thought or maybe one of the OPC,s in Europe

Sounds like a good idea but l personally can't take the risk of damage or 'l'm sure there were 4 pairs' scenario. Would rather pay a bit more & keep full control.

I presume that's £940+vat each, not for a pair. Not sure OPC do posting etc., so this may be our sticking point. I am happy to collect & store if anybody wants to collect in person, can also give a tour of more than a lifetimes projects if you don't all have enough of your own.

Yeah apologies that was per wing
£940 per wing plus vat at Newcastle
If we could get them under a K per wing including vat it would soften the blow a bit

OPC' s will deliver free of charge if you ask them
Cambridge came back with £890 each plus VAT. All part of the same dealer group I would believe, ( Jardine).
Be careful with importing from the states as the duty will be levied on them plus the shippers mark up for collecting the duty. Then you have the shipping they look quite small on the car but the boxes they come in a re huge. Porsche know how to pack things believe me. When I went to pick mine up from the OPC to get them home in the boxes they came in you would need a transit, I had a golf and one box would not fit. Unpacking and stacking was the only way. Just to give an idea the box the bonnet came in was 2 meters square by half a meter deep.
Other options would be Dansk and hope that they fit.

Sean

Tried my local dealer again today
£895+ vat per wing
Looks like a group deal is prob not going to be worth the hassle at a 10% discount which can be aplied on one unit, let alone 8
One thing they did say is on the notes it's says some reworking of the panel may be require to fit
I would hope not much at over a grand a panel

They fit supprisingly well!
With the cars being hand built and every one slightly different it's more of a bolt hole needs elongation rather than hammering the crap out of them to fit.

Have you found out which year they are nearest for yet?

Mike
The wings supplied by Porsche matched my original 66 wings other than the tabs for the sugar scoops in the headlight bowl and the thinner return on the wheel arch.
All other profiles were the same, and I went over them with a fine tooth comb prior to accepting them from Porsche.
