Hi, thanks everyone for the lovely comments, particularly enamoured with the butterscotch angel delight / instant whip vibe. Loved them...

And yes, not going to mess too much with this one. Although I'm not sure the case halves have been apart, will have to check through the paperwork, but it seems a bit unlikely with such low mileage Mike, but that stuff round the seam does look a bit odd.

I must also confess that I did also think the metallic blue would go well with the metallic green....as Bootsy said, this car is a bit butch for me and maybe I should try and make it a bit more feminine :-). Or words to that effect anyway...he was a bit more pithy..

I'm happy to have pretty cars though....!

A metal roof and losing the scoops!

You've changed.

Very nice 8)

Looks to be a great example - however, I'll go against the flow & say that you should modify it ...

Your search started out for something that you could 'hotrod' & you already have a lovely Factory-spec pre-impact bumper model so, even though this is a one-owner car with fully-detailed history, i'd say go ahead & modify it !

I can see Mike cringing when reading this but if you're careful in carrying out easily-reversed changes, then you won't be detracting from its future desirability/resale value.

Possibly start with/concentrate on 'adding lightness' - e.g swap F&R bumpers for composite versions (painted in Minerva Blue), replace one/both front seats with lightweight buckets (upholstered to match) - or maybe with Tartan centres (you could also buy some spare rear seats to upholster in the same combination) & how about some different wheels - Minilites ?

Something along the lines of your own take on a Minerva Blue 'Dirty Penny' ...

That's a good looking car Andy - that's given me some pause for thought. The good thing about this is that it doesn't need rushing into. I do like those bumpers though....

And Mick, open air and scoops will always be my first love :-)

Hi Rich,
That looks like an excellent find. Those massive dodgem car rubber blocks on the bumpers need to go, but not much else required in my humble opinion. Just drive it.
Where is it, and where will you be driving it? Are you still in Singapore?
Cheers, Richard.

Yes, still in Singapore - sometimes, seem to spend a lot of time on a plane. Moscow this week....

The car is in the uk, and will stay there. But going to get to drive it before and after CLM. Those bumper car rubbed are quite something aren't they....but yes, it does seem to be a good find. Looking forward to driving it..
