You have your work cut out for you there! What did Max think was rare about the engine? He knows these cars quite well! Has the case been measured? Is it OK?

Wow, some serious fabrication required here. Don't panic though, it's all do able. Just a good plan and some time. Can recommend the Restoration Design metal, though the OE Prsche panels are the best, so long as you are willing to pay double the price. Avoid the Dansk stuff....

Personally, I'd stop there and get the shell stripped, either by Envirostrip or a good media blasters. That's the only way you're going to see what you're really up against. Good luck with the project, though!

Agreed and have gone for a mixture of both
Out of interest the full rear quarter OEM was £810 and Restoration design £785

Front hubs are in poor shape with a lot of oxidisation

and thanks to Robert Barrie for sorting out replacements, meanwhile other parts have had first clean prior to next stages

busy night bead blasting but the parts are starting to come good, should be ready for painting this weekend inbetween a visit to the castle and then a trip to Max to see the engine build
