1976 911S Backdate from an Update

As I am going down the light weight route, what have others done with the air intake on the bonnet, when removing the air blower motor and associated items. I have the idea of using a sheet of thin black plastic to blank off the hole but leave the mesh and trim present so it looks "normal". Be interested to see what others have done.

Nice progress Neill, this stage is the toughest.

I fitted a sprayed black piece of aluminum with a thin rubber backer to create a nice seal. You need to make sure no water can get in ! For the demist I went with a Heated front screen and inline blower similar to Andy's

Rubber seal - Noted.

Finished the front pan replacement, Oil cooler arrived and getting some more sheet steel to make the air diversion (hence the very front not being finished completely)




Started moving back along the car and have found rust in the doors too... So that's the next job.

Oh and My Durant repro arrived. I think I have the placement about right?
