So I have now spent about 1 1/2 hours on this and I reckon I have it nailed, it is all to do with the coupling, the gearshift and the clutch are perfect, but a notch either way and things go awry, not only that but the fore/aft movement made a considerable difference, at least as much as the rotational movement.

It is painstaking, drive it, pull over, undo the bolt, move it a notch, do it up again and drive some more, rinse and repeat ad nauseum !!!

But the outcome is near perfection, I reckon theres a tiny bit more fettling to get it absolutely spot on, but man is it close !!!

A proper first class faff fettle !!!!
