I gather from a couple of guys from the Ferrari world that JD Classics had a terrible example of a Daytona on their stand which was outrageously overpriced.
There were a couple of excellent examples for less money on other stands. From my own experience their customer service is appalling

I went for the easy option and went to the Autosport Show, trade day on the Thursday.

Good show, good technical stuff, some nice cars on display and in the auction, esp a very nicely sitting VW Beetle, sandwich at £5.50 dodgy, £10 parking the usual rip-off (better than £15).
Total cost for a very full day, about 4 laps of the whole thing, £45.
Oh, and I DID NOT QUEW TO GET IN!

Alternative Autoport Show in Feb tons better soon!

I bumped into just 1 DDKer, Kev914, whom I had last spoken to just 10 days before at Brooklands. He had been looking over a FIAT X1/9 then, it was a BMW Z1 on the BMW Club stand this time

The Autosport show gets less good each year – the London event stole some of the attractions, I am sure. The engineering section doesn't even fill a hall these days, and unless you're into 'tuner cars', there seems to be less of interest for me each year. Been going since the days of the Racing Car Show at Alexandra Palace and will continue to go, but always end up leaving about lunchtime. PCGB's usual 'starting grid' display looked as welcoming as a dentist's chair, while Porsche Cars' stand was little better. But the masses of kids (sorry, 'students') on press/trade day seemed to enjoy collecting brochures and taking selfies with the models...

You are dead right Keith. I went as I have the time to now, but have missed it for 2 years.

The 'kids' are by the coachload as you say and busy finding the girls with the biggest, but they are 12, sorry 16 anyway...

I arrived at 10.30 and was gone by 2.15, so about £10/hour entertainment cost. :blackeye:

I was not inspired to even take a picture.

The coolest thing I saw was this custom bodied 50's Bentley hotrod by Bensport

The favourite car I saw and could actually imagine owning was the Alfaholics track spec Alfa. It's got 280bhp/ tonne, looks gorgeous, trimmed to perfection, trick engine dampers brakes etc and they had a video of it overtaking modern 911s round the ring. So stunning I forgot to take a photo! I thought it might be £100k but was amazed .. 175k blimey
