Booking hotel tomorrow - sounds a good un!

Apparently a few Europeans are making the trip and staying at the hotel too.

I am hoping to go also along with a couple of the hill climb guys (914 and early 911)

Im going and Im gonna be bringing somthing rather special along.

Its black,soft top,RHD and has a name associated with a famous mexican race!

Were going to have a big stand there (Roger Brays) please say hello to me/us,would be good to chat to you all,you cant miss me Im 6ft 7ins tall!!!!

Not being a PCGB member, whats the situation ???

Its not far from me and I would go, but...like I said, whats the situ with non-members...

Good point as I'm not a member either - can we still go to the event?

Here's what I've got . . . .

PCGB members (pre-purchasing tickets)
The cost is £10 per person. Please make cheques payable to Porsche Club GB.
Irrespective of which model type Register you belong to ALL Requests for tickets, with payment enclosed, should be made directly to Fred Hampton at:

Fred Hampton.
47 Connaught Square
London W2 2HL

NB.Cheques should be made payable to Porsche Club GB
A CLEARLY LEGIBLE STAMPED ADRESSED ENVELOPE should be enclosed

Application deadline is Friday 13th May !!!!!

PCGB Members (arriving on the day)
Pay the normal entry price - £14 p/p.

Non Members
Pay the normal entry price - £14p/p (i.e. can't pre-book)
Won't be able to enter concours events etc.

BTW we have a very interesting group of classic owners joining us at Beaulieu . . . . will make you laugh . . . more later (or on the day)

So apart from entering your car into any kind of 'event', its the same for both members/non-members..??

ps - only prob is, I suppose we non-PCGB peeps will have to stow the car in the standard parking area.. ....oh well, that might be one way to identify other poor people like me

. . Yes that right.

Everyone with a pre 73 porsche will be parked together . . . member or not.

It's only non-porsche, or post 73 cars that will be in the 'normal' parking.

Hurry and book your rooms at the Hotel as the alocation of the £40 rate is over subscribed already it will rise to £45 ( £5 increase ) for the next alocation upto 25 rooms then over 25 rooms it will be £50 ( Still only £25 per person ,normal rate is £69 )

Also don't for get you can come for Breakfast £3.95 I must start to have numbers inadvance for this. A good deal £3.95 meet up in the morning and set off to the event.


Number please also for the night before Sat I can organise a night out for a meal in Southampton. Just post here if you want a night out .I can keep you all posted..

After a bit of negotiation I have obtained agreement for my good lady wife that we can stay in the hotel & go to the event at Beaulieu. (Apparently what with it being out 10th wedding anniversary I was expected to have been organising something more romantic. I ask you, what's better than a stately home, in glorious english contryside with a bunch of old classic cars...?)
Hurrah! I've just spoken to the delightful Joanne & we are all booked in for saturday night.
