Good for you Danny,

A smart move painting the car first before disclosing the colour change......otherwise the world and his dog would have been giving you their opinion (probably still will! ).

Doing what make you happy is always the right thing to do! :)

A great colour......I'm sure the car is going to look awesome. 8)

It's a great colour - really suits the shape/simplicity of the swb models ...

Are you keeping the Fuchs fully polished Danny?

Yep, for the time being anyway.
Thought they always suited the car while it was Bahama Yellow.
Will have to see how they look when it's all back together.

Likewise. Always liked them on your car and imagine they'll look great with the new paint

Made a start on the headlining this afternoon.
Never done one before or any type of retrimming so wish me luck!!
Have looked at many threads and have listened to advise whenever i could get it.

Was happy just getting the bow/wires sitting well for today.
Tomorrow i will be armed with a lot more clips and a heat gun.

Patience is my friend.

Managed to spend a couple of days on the car this week....
Headliner in!
Relieved that's done and really happy how it's turned out considering my complete novice status with all things trim.

Put down Dynamat in the rear, along the side panels and front bulkhead.
Followed by mostly new felt, only the vertical rear side originals survived.

Next up making new cards for the rear side panels

Back with more hopefully soon....

The headlining looks great, though closing the door against the bulldog clips will be tricky

Love the bodywork colour, keep the photo's coming.

I've always been a fan of untrimmed. Usually it's coupled with a wanton disregard of boundaries
