you have done the right thing in not mentioning names on a public forum though

with regard to the shell if you decide not to press ahead I dont think it will be that hard to sell if its done properly... perfect base for a rally car, rep etc

a few years ago Sean Lockyear - a so called specialist who ended up in the slammer - sold a Viper restored shell exactly like yours for £12k isn

personally though I'd get possession of your items, take a 3 month deep breath, and then revisit it next year.

once trust is gone its gone so get your stuff back, leave the rest with solicitors, and then find some proper people to finish the build

there is hardly a specialist who hasnt had legal issues so dont be too hard on yourself... this kind of thing happens all the time

To be fair to car dealers they are not all bad.

There are crooks everywhere and in every industry. There is also a lot that people do in business that may not be breaking the law but is morally criminal...

Hmmm...there seems to be a *lot* of this about. Surely if ebay sellers can be rated and Amazon products star-rated we could do something similar for Porsche fettlers ? If enough people do the rating it should average out the bad and good experiences.

Is is legally tricky to do this ? If not I could look into finding some web software we could use.

Something similar to TripAdvisor? That seems to upset plenty of people as well.

There are plenty of Porsche forums that allow people to check reputations on. I'm sure Dan would give the name of this particular specialist if asked via PM.
