Looks like you've got a nice car.
Interesting oil system in the engine bay though.

Dave,

Mentioned you would have liked some info on shipping from me? Sorry you must have me confused with someone else. My car has been sitting in my garagwe for over 40 years

I have looked at those photos of your car thats arriving and it looks very nice. I guess they have converted to a special filtration looking at those pipes?

Best of luck

Roy

Good morning Dave,

Great to see someone using their real name and telling us where they are in the world

Car looks very nice but I would consider moving the Oil Filter Out of the engine bay, you need Cold Air for Cooling and Carbs.

The Filter in that position introduces hot air to both

Under the Left Rear Wheel arch is the obvious alternative - it will also help Oil / Engine Cooling

Be careful what Oil Filter Cartridge you use, A Fram HPI is (I think) the only one that can take the oil pressure

Hello Mike, thanks for that info, because the car wont be here for another few weeks yet, will give me some time to look into that and check when it arrives that it is still the same set up. I don't really know when the pics were taken. and yes I agree that its cold air it needs and the left rear arch sounds a good place to re route it. Im sure there will be more things to ask Mike when the car gets here.
Thanks for the advice and will let you know when it arrives. Cheers Dave

some more pictures of the car and some info. The car has had 3 owners from new I will be no4.This car was recently treated to a sympathetic restoration and was originally a European delivery car, first sold by Autogena Bologna in March 1962. The car arrived in California in the 1980’s after a brief period on the east coast of the US.with the last owner purchasing the car in 1979 from a retired Navy officer in Virginia who purchased the car while stationed in Europe .
