I like option 1, especially if I bring something a little older, where security is an issue. However, I may choose to pass on CLM14.

What's the difference between prices based on 2 sharing and just one person in a car?

Is it cheaper without food? (let's face it they are friggin useless for vegetarians in France anyway...!)

I'm not voting as I don't care - as long as it's safe & near track and most of us are together then I'm happy (showers etc have always been fine) you can buy a hell of a lot of food and drink at the supermarket for £200!!!

Jason looking at the prices I have received from Brian for next years 24 hour I think you are looking at approximately a £150 hike for one person in a smaller pitch.

I havn't got any finalised prices yet, but think its about £540 for a single person incl ferry

Personally I think the whole CLM is too expensive all round, but that's the problem these days with the big events.... even the tickets get more & more expensive. I can't remember how much 2012 cost overall , but I'm sure it was a lot less . Think it probo works out we pay maybe £50 pppn extra for the benefit of private showers / toilets , security , food & a paybar ... which looking at it that way maybe it isn't too bad a deal ???


Food is provided by the 1st-tickets caterers and I think veggies are catered for ... but lets face it, even for us meat eaters I can't see much variation beyond meat in bread

I'm happy with any option but would probably prefer the first one . TBH I'm just happy to be out .
I agree with costs though . I know the Spa six hours isn't the same but there's an awful lot of the same cars there (organised by the same guy , Peter Auto ? ) , iconic track and a much more relaxed atmosphere . When we go in September I bet it won't cost anything like the same . It's now probably my favourite event .

One and three for me. I'd prefer tunnel crossing, I think, or a shorter ferry.

Karting du Nord's+ for me was being able to walk up to the track and watch whenever I felt like it, downside was lousy security (as some of you know my generator was stolen during the night last year)
Whilst both camping options would appear to have better security- clearly neither are "on track" like KDN.
Not sure whether option 1 is exclusively DDK, if it is mixed in with PH general campsite then less good for me.
Bounty (pronounced Boonty in French BTW!) sounds nice but is "off circuit" so less interesting too.
All of which ( and my 63rd birthday on Sunday) is making me think about leaving the VW Dehler camper in Antibes and just bringing the 911-in which case I'd be interested in the Chateau (Nick M-we corresponded on this a couple of years back-maybe you could PM me with any possibilities?)
Means that Ferryman and I can talk camera stuff too!!

A lot of us are organising our own crossings

Just voted for option 1. Would prefer a tunnel crossing and the option of no food if it were available as I probably wouldn't be eating there.

don't think we can separate out the food side of things .. it's just a barbeque kind of thing I think that's thrown into the package along with the pay bar etc .. all should hopefully add to the community spirit of things
